“THE NEW FRONTIERS OF AERONAUTICAL MEDICINE: FROM BIO-CONTAINMENT TO AEROSPACE MEDICINE”

The initiative highlights how the Italian Air Force, often perceived in the public imagination almost exclusively through its aircraft and operational activities, is also deeply engaged—through the personnel of the Aeronautical Health Corps—in numerous other fields. These areas often take on a “dual” function, at times with purposes that are primarily civilian, serving the wider national community.
The event underscores the multiple domains of intervention: from high-value scientific research, to support in major emergencies, and to daily healthcare services. The overarching goal is to raise awareness of the role played by the Aeronautical Health Service and the Armed Forces as a whole in serving the country.
